6" x 7.75" silver print image; caption attached to back at bottom edge; Chicago Bureau, Pacific & Atlantic Photos publication information stamped on back in red. Chicago: Pacific & Atlantic Photos, Inc., 1924. From the caption: The pullman plane, constructed at the Stout Metal Airplane Co. of Detroit, claimed to be the first real commercial airplane built in America. The plane furnished a luxurious pullman compartment of real limousine equipment for eight people. Constructed of Duralumin in corrugated form it resembled the German Junker, weighed 1000 lbs. less than a Cadillac, had wing spread of 58 feet, and contained a 400 horsepower Liberty engine, etc., etc.
