From the caption: The pullman plane, constructed at the Stout Metal Airplane Co. of Detroit, claimed to be the first real commercial airplane built in America. The plane furnished a luxurious pullman compartment of real limousine equipment for eight people. Constructed of Duralumin in corrugated form it resembled the German Junker, weighed 1000 lbs. less than a Cadillac, had wing spread of 58 feet, and contained a 400 horsepower Liberty engine, etc., etc. |
